THE EVENING WILL FEATURE A SPECIAL CONVERSATION ON BET’S ‘RECLAIM YOUR VOICE, RECLAIM YOUR VOTE CAMPAIGN,’ POWERED BY THE NAACP, A SNEAK PREVIEW FROM THE SMITHSONIAN CHANNELAND A CONVERSATION ABOUT BET’S UNPRECEDENTED STUDIO VENTURE, BET STUDIOS

New York, NY August 17, 2022 – Today BET will host a powerful evening at Martha’s Vineyard to amplify critical causes and voices that ultimately empower Black communities and inspire action. Under its social impact initiative, “Content For Change,” BET will galvanize thought leaders, change agents, and showcase exclusive content in a one-night event with industry partners and creators of color to focus the conversation on rallying the community around the critical matters that directly affect them the most.

Kicking off the night, is a special conversation powered by the NAACP on BET’s ‘Reclaim Your Voice, Reclaim Your Vote’ efforts featuring NAACP President & CEO, Derrick Johnson, Emily’s List President Laphonza Butler, and Moderator Jotaka Eaddy, founder and CEO of Full Circle Strategies, LLC.  #ReclaimYourVote, is BET’s social change campaign in partnership with the National Urban League and key national organizations committed to harnessing Black collective power and increasing Black participation in the elections. The conversation will be immediately followed by a conversation about BET’s unprecedented studio venture BET Studios featuring General Manager and EVP, Aisha Summers-Buke. Closing out the night is a special private preview of an upcoming documentary from the Smithsonian Channel presented by VP Content & Programming, Smithsonian Channel™ and Documentary Series, MTV, Pamela Aguilar.
